Dr. Leticia Williams, an NCAS-M postdoctoral fellow who received her Ph.D. from Howard University, is now at the UCAR Cooperative Programs for Advancement of Earth System Science (CPAESS) as a program specialist. She is helping the NOAA/NWS Operations Division to establish a protocol for the collection of covered data for post-storm assessments, and serves as the Communications Expert at COASTAL Act meetings, using science communication and social science backed logic to help ensure documentation meets the needs of the government and general public.
