Jonathan Smith, Ph.D., was featured by NOAA’s Office of Education after joining the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory as a Research Physical Scientist. Jonathan earned a Ph.D. at Howard University in Atmospheric Science with the support of NCAS-M.
Prior to attending Howard University, Jonathan participated in the first class of the Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions Undergraduate Scholarship Program (EPP/MSI USP). He was also awarded a Big Ten Academic Alliance summer research experience for undergraduates offsite link that placed students in opportunities at prestigious Midwestern universities.
