Cassandra is currently a doctoral candidate at Howard University in the Psychology Department.  Born and raised in Texas, Cassandra has always had an interest in how people make decisions during disasters.  This interest is heavily influenced by her experiences in Louisiana during Hurricanes Rita, Katrina, Ike and Gustav.  She received her BS in Psychology from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA in 2009, and her MS in Social Psychology from Howard University in Washington, DC in 2013.  She is currently collecting data for her dissertation, and is expecting to defend her dissertation in during Spring 2018.
