Cameron Bennett

Biography

Cameron Bennett participated in the Geosciences Bridge Program in the summer of 2021. His project focused on “Water Quality and Fish Communities in Maryland Coastal Bays,” which analyzed water quality parameters, species richness, and species diversity of fish communities during 1992 and 2018. After completing the program, he enrolled at Jackson State University to pursue a degree in Meteorology. Bennet was also a 2022 participant of the NCAS-M Experiential Training Summer Program (ETSP). His research was titled “A Microclimatic Study of Jackson State University and the Surrounding Jackson Area.” Cameron later became a Cohort 2 NCAS-M II Fellow. His Research Thematic Area is Effective Communication of Climate and Weather Risk.
