Join Us At The Unifying Innovations in Forecasting Capabilities Workshop 2024

This summer, the Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) and the Unified Forecast System (UFS) in partnership with Jackson State University (JSU) will deliver a five-day Unifying Innovations in Forecasting Capabilities Workshop (UIFCW24) at JSU in Jackson, Mississippi, 22-26 July 2024. Throughout the week, we will focus on integrating sectors of the Weather Enterprise and fostering a community aligned with EPIC’s mission, emphasizing government research and the crucial role of community building. UIFCW24 is about engaging and uniting our efforts to advance forecasting capabilities for a more informed future. The theme for this year’s workshop is Collaborative Progress in Earth System Modeling. 

The May 31st abstract deadline for the Unifying Innovations in Forecasting Capabilities workshop is quickly approaching! The abstract deadline will not be extended, so please submit your abstract by May 31st if you want to be considered for a presentation. 

You can submit an abstract by May 31st here: UIFCW 2024 Abstract Submission (smartsheetgov.com). There is no fee to submit an abstract. You will have the option to present in-person or virtually with virtual details forthcoming.

Registration. Workshop registration can be completed here. This is a hybrid workshop and you are able to attend in-person, virtually, or a combination of both. In-person registration must be completed by Sunday, June 30, 2024; there will be no on-site registration for in-person attendance. Accommodations. For those of you attending in-person, the workshop will be hosted at the Jackson State University Student Center in Jackson, MS.
