The Rachel Carson Council has opened our National Environmental Leadership Fellowship for this year. RCC works on issues related to biomass, CAFOs, fossil fuel infrastructure, renewable energy and coasts and oceans. We complete part of this work through our National Environmental Leadership Fellowship. This fellowship is a two-semester long (Fall 2024-Spring 2025) paid fellowship where undergraduate and masters students can propose a project to work on on their campus or in their communities. Previous project examples include divestment campaigns, educational campaigns about EJ issues, creating a climate action plan and more. Students are paid $2,000 over the course of the two academic semesters to work on their projects, submit monthly deliverables (EX: blog posts, instagram posts) and complete 7 advocacy hours per semester.
