Overview: The 2020 NCAS-M Virtual Center-wide Professional Development (PD) Workshop will consist of 4 ½-days of professional and career development trainings designed to develop strategies and approaches to increase student learning and future career professional development opportunities. The workshop will ensure that all students being supported receive a common experience and core competencies designed to improve professional skills in the future work environment with an emphasis on the NOAA workforce.

This year’s professional development workshop will include topics such as branding, virtual interviews, NOAA 101, dealing with life after COVID 19, and understanding and analyzing observational data.

Workshop activities will engage participants in virtual idea sharing, small group discussions, and interactive activities.

Time: 1-5 pm daily EST

Where: Virtual (Microsoft Teams)

Who: NCAS-M fellows, Leverage students, ETSP Fellows, Atmospheric Sciences students and others (All NCAS-M fellows are required to attend)
