Kayla Hudson
Biography
Kayla Hudson participated in the NCAS-M rising sophomore program, Experiential Training Summer Program (ETSP) as well as NCAS-M Cohort 5. Her ETSP internship project titled, “Understanding the Roles of Heat Fluctuations for Intensity Changes and High Impacts associated with Hurricane Irma” allowed her to work with NOAA Collaborators Bill Parker, Latrice Maxie, Jamie Rhome. Her NCAS-M Mentor was Remata Reddy. She received a 2020 Lapenta Scholarship for a virtual internship with NCEP. Kayla continued as a NCAS-M II Cohort 1 Fellow. Her Research Thematic Area is Effective Communication of Climate and Weather Risk.
