UCAR Next Generation Fellowships

The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) is now accepting applications for the 2021-2023 Next Generation Fellowships. Three awardees will receive financial support and two summer visits. Graduate students working on a masters or doctoral degree in Earth system science are encouraged to learn more about the fellowship online

The Earth System Science Fellowship provides an opportunity to work on projects in any of the scientific, engineering, applied mathematics, or computational labs at NCAR, or with one of UCAR’s Community Programs, whose activities range from providing data and software services to education, professional training, and public outreach.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Fellowship is for graduate students who are considering a move from Earth system science research to a career in institutional change, with a specific focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.  

The Public Policy Fellowship is for graduate students who are interested in incorporating public policy into their future career path. UCAR strongly believes that a diverse and inclusive public policy team enables us to better advocate for the sciences.
