Open Federal term position at NOAA/PSL (Boulder) in coastal inundation seasonal prediction

NOAA’s Physical Sciences Laboratory is looking to hire a term-limited Federal scientist (with possible extensions to 4 years) to conduct research aimed at developing seasonal predictions of mean and extreme water levels, and the corresponding risks of coastal flooding, along the US coastline. The ad is here, and has a full description of the position and job requirements.

We are seeking motivated candidates, especially those with interest and experience in coastal oceanography and hydrodynamic modeling, who would make a great addition to our team of federal and university scientists. This position would be a great opportunity for a newly minted PhD or early career scientist who would like to work on a challenging scientific problem that could make a real difference for coastal communities of all kinds.
Please feel free to pass this email along to anyone who you think might be interested in this position, or to any other groups I may have missed. Also, feel free to email me to ask any additional questions about this position. The ad closes on January 18.
