DaNa Carlis engaged with the NOAA Center for Atmospheric Science and Meteorology (NCAS-M) while earning a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from Howard University. In September 2020, DaNa joined NOAA’s Global Systems Laboratory (GSL) as the Deputy Director. DaNa credits NCAS-M and NOAA’s Educational Partnership Program/Minority-Serving Institution Program for allowing him to pursue what he loves and providing a pathway to federal employment.
