This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) with two vacancies located in Silver Spring, MD,
IT Specialists (Applications Software) perform the following duties:
- Establishes a high standard for code quality by overseeing unit tests, participating in code reviews, reducing cyclomatic complexity, removing code duplication, and debugging software modules.
- Leads software development activities for the organization, establishing standards and applying best practices across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Oversees user documentation and technical support by assembling and providing concise and accurate information regarding software functionality.
